Our family welcomed our first Portuguese Water Dog, Sadie, from BigBay’s Lorraine Wilson in 2008. We chose this breed because my husband and son had allergies to most dogs, and after researching and meeting Lorraine’s dogs, we were captivated by their energy, joyfulness, and intelligence, making a PWD a perfect match for our active family.

Lorraine quickly became more than just a breeder; she became my mentor, friend, and trainer. She introduced me to various aspects of dog training, including agility, rally, and my greatest passion—WATER. Nothing was better than a group of us coming together, doing what we loved, and having fun with our dogs.

With Sadie, we celebrated her Champion Title, bred her, and from her litter, we welcomed Stella. Together, Sadie and Stella taught us invaluable lessons, turning every outing into an adventure. Whether it was the simple joy of a long walk, the triumph of earning titles, or the deep bond of unconditional love, they left an unforgettable mark on our hearts. My beloved girls and cherished family members have since crossed the rainbow bridge, but their spirit and love remain with us always.

Since Sadie and Stella we added Etta (BigBay At Last) to our family in 2019 and through very sad circumstances with the passing of our dear friend Lorraine, we added Billie (BigBay Lady Sings the Blues) and from their litters, Pearl and Hazel joined the Endless River Family.

I am deeply grateful for the Portuguese Water Dogs that have enriched my life, the wonderful friends I’ve made along the way, and the invaluable mentorship of these respected Portuguese Water Dog breeders — Drewsar, LunaNova, and New River, all longtime and dedicated preservation breeders.

We were then thrilled to announce the addition of two Drewsar girls to the Endless River family. Tilly, registered name "Drewsar DownEast Waltzing Matilda at EndlessRiver," earned her championship title with style and grace, exemplifying the excellence of the Drewsar breeding program. More recently, we welcomed Zip, another beautiful Drewsar dog, and we eagerly anticipate the great adventures that lie ahead with her.

Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home, where they are treated as part of our family. From day 3 to 16, we begin Early Neurological Stimulation exercises to promote healthy development, along with Early Scent Introduction to enhance their nose awareness and confidence. We also expose them to a variety of Whelping Box Novelty Items and provide ongoing socialization through interactions with people, other dogs, and new experiences. Throughout their time with us, we send families regular updates and photos, from birth until the day they go to their new homes. Along with a going-home package, we offer helpful training tips and handouts, and we're always just a phone call away for any support.

Each puppy comes with a comprehensive purchase agreement, which includes a health guarantee and lifelong breeder support from the moment they join your home.
